Bai Euskarari local agreement

In 2000 the Bai Euskarari agreement was extended to local governments. Firstly, pilot experiences were launched, and then, they were expanded. In this way, Kontseilua launched a process of commitment on a local level.

These dynamics were promoted in collaboration with the municipalities, thus offering a flexible, adaptable framework and model for all concerned, and which also guaranteed coherence on a general level. The key to their success lies in the participation of local social entities and bodies in the process to secure concrete commitments for the normalisation of the Basque language.
